Doctors suck !

" I'll be able to help you, together WE will get you through this " blah, blah, blah !

I've heard that so many times I can't count. It's what every doctor has told me just months prior to giving up on me and sending me to another idiot who repeats the same line.

Over the past 16 years I've seen so many specialists and quacks I can't even keep track. You can NOT put all your hopes on a doctor! you have to know the right questions and already know the answers...you are your best healer. I've found doctors see so much pain and frustration that their minds become closed. They become blind to your disability and daily struggle. The only reason I continue to see the doctors I do see is because I need my prescriptions filled.

The insurance game is just that, a big game. We need it for major health issues or hospital stays but it's like a hamster wheel. Around and around we go, looking for help and paying tons of money for what I consider to be just a band-aid. I'm passed around like a bad cold, from one doctor to another so my insurance can show a paper-trail. If I see one doctor, they want me to see another, they send me to another....all so the first doctor feels confident giving
me my prescription. It's not because they want the best for me or you, it's just covering the doctors ass incase I ever plan on suing.
All I need at this point is plan and simple pain management! You think that would be easy but your wrong. They still want mri's, xrays, tests etc..... Just to cover their ass. They don't have any compassion or clue.

It's a game I'm forced to play and I never win. Did I mention I hate games !

The amount of money spent on drugs is in the thousands. Many did nothing but I'm still stuck with the unused portion. I've learned that if I'm going to be given a new drug I get two prescriptions. The first for a small pill amount, just to test it out. If it works I fill the second script. Doing it this way has saved me a lot of money. I once spent $300 for a new preventative drug, that drug landed me in a padded room for 12 hours with a migraine so intense I can't remember anything. It was a rude awakening to the non-educated emergency room staff that solved the problem by sending me some place else. Shame on them!
I'm now on 6 medications aday, that's down a lot from years past. At one point my prescription bill was about $600 a month and every pill has side effects. The best drug for results and cost has been pot. Yes, good old herbal hemp! I have the card so it's as legal as it can be but my doctors and insurance still want me to try every medication thats new and lines their pockets.

Yep....I repeat doctors suck !
